Why is the price higher for larger homes?
Our basic costs are slightly higher for a large house, that’s any property over 100 square metres in size. The extra charge reflects the extra benefits that apply – large homes use more energy, so the potential savings are larger too.
Not sure how large your home is? Think 15 m2 per room, or 40-50m2 per floor. So for a typical Victorian terraced house, a three storey house would count asover 100m2, but a two storey house would most likely be under 1002.
