How long does a home survey take?
About 30 minutes for a typical 2-4 bedroom home. Small appartments can be surveyed in 15-20 minutes, and larger homes can take 45 minutes to 1 hour.
We normally allow 1 – 1.5 hours for each appointment, knowing that we will be faster at some addresses and slower at others. This includes time to discuss the home survey with you, ask any questions we may have to complete your certificate, and answer any questions of yours about what happens next.
From December this year, our assessors will also provide further advice on free ways to cut your carbon footprint further, and recommendations on how to cut the power consumption from your appliances and how to reduce heat loss from your existing central heating system.
