We are a new company, created in 2009 to count – and cut! – the carbon footprint of every home in the UK. We’re not the Government, and we’re not part of an energy company – we’re an independent business, motivated to meet the need for innovation in the low carbon sector.
Our goal is to save 1 million tonnes of CO2 in the next 5 years, and we’re doing that by bringing down the cost of simple, reliable advice to a level that everyone can afford. In our first year, we’ve already succeeded in cutting the price of a standard EPC to £29, or £19 for households qualifying for a discounted rate. That’s 70%-80% less than the previous market price of around £100.
In our next year, we plan to do the same for the energy efficiency services that our certificates recommend. It’s a huge challenge, but we’re already working on it!
